How, then, can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? A Prayer for the Desire of our Hearts

Oh Lord,

 Strengthen our desire, be our exceeding joy. May our hearts, minds, and very souls sing praises overflowing from the source of consummate pleasure -- Christ in us the hope, the certainty, of glory-- Your glory!

 Oh God be glorified in these hearts of ours... these hearts that are so quick to stray in weakness to lesser pleasures. Help us to taste and see that You, oh Lord, are supremely good.

 Strengthen our desire.

 Refine the palate of our hearts.

 Be our exceeding joy.

 Glorify Your Great Name in and through each of us.

 Amen and amen.
